I have hand burned an ink cap mushroom onto this birch plywood bookmark then stained the wood two different shades of brown. The mushroom has been painted in shades of grey with white highlights. Two coats of polyurethane have been applied to help protect against the elements. The tassel on top is made of a dark brown leather that is tied into a simple knot.
