I have hand burned a simple sprig of leaves onto this birch plywood bookmark then stained the wood brown. The leaves have been painted with shades of green watercolor. Two coats of polyurethane have been applied to help protect against the elements. The tassel on top is made of a light brown leather that is tied into a simple knot.
