A murex seashell has been wood burned by hand onto this birchwood slice with Oxnard. CA burned just beneath the shell. I’ve painted the murex seashell in soft shades of pink watercolor then sealed the ornament with three coats of polyurethane to help protect against the elements. There is a jute cord attached to the top for ease of hanging. Keep out of direct UV light to prevent fading of the burn and paint.
