I have hand burned one of my favorite plants, the string of hearts, onto this birch plywood bookmark then stained the wood a rich dark brown. The leaves have been painted a dark green with shimmery silver vein details. Two coats of polyurethane have been applied to help protect against the elements. The tassel on top is made of a dark brown leather that is tied into a simple knot.
