I have hand burned a simple sprig of flower buds onto this birch plywood bookmark then stained the wood a rich golden color. The flower buds have been painted with pink and green watercolors and a white border has been drawn around the edge of the bookmark for a bit of extra detail. Two coats of polyurethane have been applied to help protect against the elements. The tassel on top is made of a light brown leather that is tied into a simple knot.
