I have hand burned a simple sprig of leaves onto this birch plywood bookmark then stained the wood a rich dark brown. The leaves have been painted an ombre green and a white line was drawn around the edge of the bookmark for added detail. Two coats of polyurethane have been applied to help protect against the elements. The tassel on top is made of a dark brown leather that is tied into a simple knot.
