This highly detailed realistic Baltimore Oriole has been wood burned by hand onto a slice of basswood. The wood is leaf shaped with the back featuring the bark of the tree. The Oriole is hand painted a vibrant yellow with white details in watercolor paint. The wood around the oriole has been slightly carved back to create a 3D appearance. The oriole is perched on a green moss covered branch. Two coats of polyurethane have been applied to the entire piece to help protect form the elements. I recommend avoiding direct UV exposure while displaying as this will cause the burn and paint to fade. I have attached a golden chain for ease of displaying on your wall.
